Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced research nurse/coordinator to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our neuroscience division, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing clinical trials across various sub-specialties, including Parkinson's disease and neurodegenerative disorders.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with site investigators and local clinical specialist nurses to introduce and initiate clinical trial work in the hospital.
  • Identify patients suitable for entry into clinical trials by attending clinics and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Ensure patients are fully informed prior to entry into any clinical trial programme.
  • Assist in consenting, randomising, and allocating treatment of patients as permitted in individual study protocols.
  • Ensure accurate completion of Case Report Forms (CRFs) and collection, coordination, and computerisation of data generated from clinical trials.
  • Implement and adhere to the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) as set out in the Clinical Trials Regulations.
  • Set up and maintain the Trial Master File/Investigator Site File with essential documents.
  • Submit substantial amendments to the relevant authorities and ensure all approvals are in place before implementing changes.
  • Ensure Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) are recorded and reported in accordance with the protocol and/or sponsor's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
