Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of patient records and medical information.

Patient Care

  • Receive and direct patients to the appropriate healthcare professional in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Provide general assistance to patients, including answering questions and addressing concerns.

Reception and Enquiry Services

  • Manage the reception area, ensuring a clean and tidy environment for patients and staff.
  • Process patient appointments, including scheduling and rescheduling as needed.

Computer and Data Management

  • Enter patient data and medical records into the computer system.
  • Process repeat prescription requests and ensure accurate recording of patient information.

Communication and Confidentiality

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to data protection policies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.

Other Responsibilities

  • Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Clear rooms after surgeries and ensure the public areas are clean and tidy.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical experience preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Monday to Friday, with regular contracted shifts.
  • No weekends or on-call shifts.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate: £11.44 per hour.
  • On-site parking available.
