About the Role

University College Birmingham is seeking an experienced and qualified Learning Skills and Development Coach (Professional Cookery) to join the award-winning professional cookery apprenticeship team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Onboard apprentices, including employer engagement, and provide support for level 2 and level 3 culinary workplace learners.
  • Have a good understanding of apprenticeship compliance and end-point assessment requirements, as well as health and safety, food safety, and occupational legislation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers and stakeholders in the culinary industry.
  • Contribute to the development of high-quality learning materials and resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Professional Cookery or Culinary Arts and a relevant assessors award.
  • Relevant vocational experience in the sector.
  • Excellent organisational, administrative, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and use initiative on certain tasks.
  • Flexible approach to work, including evening and weekend events, and regular travel to employer sites.
  • Full clean driving licence.
