We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team at Harrison Scott Associates as a Labels Category Lead Buyer – Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned packaging expert to take on a leadership role and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a packaging portfolio with a spend of circa £10m, ensuring optimal procurement strategies and cost savings.
- Develop and implement effective procurement plans, leveraging expertise in category/print management and procurement best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business development and achieve contribution targets.
- Utilize e-procurement tools to streamline procurement processes and improve data management.
- Negotiate commercial and legal agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Lead change management initiatives, driving process improvements and cultural shifts within the organization.
- Work closely with the client to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of managing a packaging portfolio with a spend of circa £10m.
- Expertise in category/print management, procurement best practices, and e-procurement tools.
- Strong negotiating skills, with experience in commercial and legal agreements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions.
