The CFO will be instrumental in defining the financial strategy and overall operational framework of the organization. This senior role demands a seasoned financial executive with a successful history in strategic financial oversight. Ideal candidates may currently hold titles such as Finance Director, Head of Finance, or Senior Financial Controller, and are prepared to advance into a more strategic position.
Experience in the retail or e-commerce sectors is advantageous but not mandatory. The CFO will work closely with the UK CEO and the European parent organization to synchronize financial strategies with overarching business goals and growth initiatives. By delivering insightful financial reporting, the CFO will provide recommendations that influence the strategic direction of the company, ensuring that the senior leadership team is equipped to make informed decisions. The CFO will serve as the primary liaison between the UK operations and the parent company.
It is essential for the CFO to exhibit integrity, professionalism, and respect in all interactions with colleagues. This role will closely collaborate with the entire executive leadership team.
Key Responsibilities of the CFO:
- Deliver financial insights and recommendations to enhance decision-making across the organization.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to ensure precise financial planning and performance monitoring.
- Conduct thorough financial analyses, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks to facilitate informed business decisions.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management reports, and presentations for the board.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and corporate policies.
- Advise on best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to refine financial processes and systems.
- Manage compliance and risk effectively.
- Drive the vision and strategy of the UK operations, ensuring alignment with the European parent organization.
- Present financial performance and key metrics to fellow board members and stakeholders at the group level.
- Identify and eliminate inefficiencies while promoting operational improvements. Provide recommendations for business enhancement initiatives.
- Utilize visual representations to foster a common understanding of short, mid, and long-term objectives, challenges, and solutions.
- Monitor and manage profitability and margins, advising on necessary actions for improvement.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring efficiency and comprehensive training for all functions.
- Support the team and broader organization with technical challenges to identify effective solutions.
- Assist, support, develop, and coach colleagues throughout the organization, sharing knowledge and expertise as needed.
Qualifications for Success:
- Qualified finance professional (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
- Demonstrated success in driving change and managing the financial health and growth of an organization.

The salary for this position is a guideline, and the final offer will be based on experience.
