Job Title: County Talent Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our performance team as a County Talent Manager. This role will play a critical part in the development of our amateur golfers, providing coaching and competitive opportunities to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement coaching programs to support the performance development of amateur golfers.
  • Work closely with coaches and support staff to provide guidance and support to players.
  • Identify and develop talent through county coaching and competitive opportunities.
  • Promote education, enjoyment, and player welfare within a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with the performance team to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to player development.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of golf and its structure, particularly performance and coaching.
  • Excellent project management and programme implementation skills.
  • Understanding of safeguarding in sport.
  • Organisational skills and ability to develop effective processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop positive relationships with individuals, players, parents, volunteers, and staff at all levels.

Working Arrangements:

The post is full-time and based from your residence, with required attendance at the England Golf headquarters, Woodhall Spa, for 2-3 days per month. Travel will be required as necessary to counties and on occasion with teams and squads, as determined by the Deputy Performance Director.

Security Clearance:

This post has been identified as involving access to adults at risk and children at risk. Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service Check and must also have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children course (SPC) or be willing to undertake one.
