Site Engineer Job Description

Carrington West is seeking a skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join a public realm highways improvement scheme in Cambridge.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Management: Oversee and manage daily on-site activities related to highways and public realm improvements.
  2. Quality Control: Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with design specifications, health and safety regulations, and project plans.
  3. Site Set-up: Set out works, including drainage, pavements, and structures, ensuring accuracy in line with project requirements.
  4. Resource Management: Monitor progress of works, manage site resources, and liaise with subcontractors and stakeholders.
  5. Inspections and Quality Assurance: Coordinate and manage site inspections and ensure quality control throughout the project.
  6. Troubleshooting: Assist with troubleshooting and resolving any engineering-related issues on-site.
Requirements:
  1. A degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  2. Proven experience in highways, public realm, or infrastructure projects.
  3. Excellent communication and project management skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
