Overview: We are excited to present an opportunity for a Property Legal Advisor to become a vital part of our team at Vistry Services.

In this role, you will assist the Senior Solicitor in delivering comprehensive property legal services across our Midland and Northern Divisions.

Your responsibilities will encompass the acquisition of land, facilitating the sale of land parcels to third-party developers, Registered Providers, and private rental entities, as well as managing the sale of completed dwellings to end users.

Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with various regions including the North Midlands, Yorkshire Division, and South Midlands and North Division. This position involves engaging with our internal legal team, Vistry's network of external legal advisors, and providing management with updates on relevant matters.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Property Legal Advisor, you will play a crucial role in:

  • Collaborating with panel firms and key stakeholders to enhance structure, processes, and best practices
  • Providing advice and influencing key stakeholders effectively
  • Handling site acquisition and transactional matters, including:
    • Land acquisition and disposal
    • Sub-sales and affordable housing disposals
    • PRS/BTR frameworks
    • Overage arrangements
    • Complex title issues
    • Golden brick structures
    • Infrastructure agreements, including utilities
    • Commercial property matters, including landlord and tenant issues
  • Leading disposals to registered providers and investors
  • Drafting and negotiating development agreements and construction contracts
  • Providing general legal advice and guidance to key stakeholders
