Job Title: General Legal Counsel M/F

Voltalia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Legal Counsel to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our HR & Corporate Functions business line, you will play a critical role in providing legal advice and support to our UK business lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice on company activities, contributing to legal and compliance risk assessment of the business in the UK.
  • Support UK business lines with legal advice, including managing and supervising regulatory matters, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Assist in preparing and revising documentation for public tenders and accompanying IPP projects through financial close.
  • Provide legal advice on licensing and developing IPP projects, supporting new projects' development and collaborations.
  • Create and maintain template contracts and legal documents for use by teams, ensuring meeting group legal objectives and policies.
  • Draft BOD minutes and general assembly minutes for UK companies and corporate documentation.
  • Monitor and advise on working relations and provide advice to other support functions.
  • Follow up on litigation cases in the UK and report to the Head of Legal in Paris.
  • Maintain and promote the company's values, strength, and reputation in the relevant markets.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor – SQE/ LPC/ CILEX or equivalent.
  • 5 years post-qualifying experience.
  • Extensive knowledge in Development/IPP in the renewable energy sector.
  • Experience in Real Estate.
  • Experience as corporate & commercial and construction lawyer.
  • At least 5 years of experience in similar functions.
  • Experience in M&A and project finance matters is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; French language considered a plus.
