Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver an exceptional scheduling service for the Medicine Booking Team. This includes overseeing appointments, attendance, and admissions.

The role involves managing capacity effectively and taking proactive measures to ensure that the Trust delivers a positive experience for patients while fulfilling its contractual obligations.

Eligibility Criteria

This position is exclusively available to individuals currently employed within an NHS Trust in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS).

Key Responsibilities

- Handling incoming and outgoing telephone communications in accordance with Trust standards.

- Serving as the initial point of contact for patients scheduling appointments in medicine specialties, adhering to established protocols and prioritizing based on clinical urgency.

- Acting as the subject matter expert for managing and accurately updating systems to document new bookings and inquiries related to medicine specialties.

- Overseeing the electronic referral worklists.

- Being the primary liaison for specialties within the medicine division and providing coverage for colleagues in the booking team as necessary.

- Utilizing systems efficiently and staying informed about system updates and changes.

- Generating, printing, and ensuring the timely delivery of patient appointment correspondence.

Essential Qualifications
