We are proud to partner with a family-owned business, a leading manufacturer and distributor of windows and door hardware, to find a highly skilled Account Manager to join their team.

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Account Manager to join our client's small sales office. The successful candidate will be responsible for cross-selling products to existing customers, identifying new business opportunities, and developing relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, products, and services, or new ways of reaching existing markets.
  • Seek out the appropriate contact in an organization and update our database.
  • Establish contact and generate opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Understand the needs of your customers and be able to communicate that in-house.
  • Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department.
  • Liaise with the finance team, warehousing, and logistics departments as appropriate to ensure customer satisfaction is met.
  • Work with the Estimator to establish customer pricing and margins.
  • Manage your pipeline and provide activity and sales forecasts.
  • Provide customer feedback.

Requirements

  • Experience in a commercial environment is advantageous (manufacturing/construction).
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role (account management, customer retention, business development, etc).
  • A strong analytical mindset capable of analyzing customer accounts and identifying opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to transform customer conversations into business-driving relationships.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a small team.
  • A pleasant and confident telephone manner.
