We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Consultant to join our team at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Community Paediatrics department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and families in Hackney and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on autism assessments in Hackney Ark Complex Communication Clinics, working with children under 5 years old.
- Provide a weekly multidisciplinary neurodevelopment clinic for the assessment and management of children with developmental delays and disabilities at the Hackney Ark.
- Support Health Visitors, GPs, schools, and nurseries, and attend Multi-agency Referral weekly meetings (MARS).
- Take an active role in seeing children with child protection concerns, including all aspects of child abuse, neglect, and fabricated illness.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- MBBS or equivalent qualification.
- MRCPCH or equivalent qualification.
- Full GMC registration and CCT/CESR in Paediatrics.
- Higher Specialist training in Community Child Health, Neurodisability, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in working with children of school age with a disability and definitive training in Child Protection.
