Job Description:

Finatal is partnered with a private equity-backed SME seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to assist with an overhaul of the finance function. The ideal candidate will be an independent contractor with expertise in process improvement, streamlining, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage management accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct month-end processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Implement process improvements for BAU transactions, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
  • Handle and analyze financial data to support business decisions, providing actionable insights.
  • Reconcile the balance sheet, ensuring all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Pull together KPIs and reporting packs, providing a comprehensive view of the company's financial performance.
  • Build reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial information.

Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with a strong understanding of financial principles and regulations.
  • Experience working in a PE-backed firm, with a proven track record of process improvement and financial analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to create complex financial models and reports.
  • Hands-on experience across numerous elements of the finance function, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
