Job Description

**Clinical Pharmacist - Cannabis Therapies Specialist**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Montu UK. As a Clinical Pharmacist - Cannabis Therapies Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in improving the quality of care and operational efficiencies in our cannabis therapies service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initial consultations with patients to validate medical history and eligibility for CBPM treatment
  • Remote consultations with patients who have already been prescribed CBPM and need regular monitoring and follow-up
  • Work closely with partner pharmacies to ensure smooth dispensing and delivery of medication to patients
  • Undertake clinical audits of prescribing to ensure safety and compliance to policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate patients' electronic health records as a result of a consultation or prescription
  • Implement changes to medicines that result from MHRA alerts, product withdrawal, and other local and national guidance
  • Work with the governance and operational teams to ensure practices are compliant with CQC standards where medicines are involved
  • To contribute to the efficient running and profitability of the service by monitoring and auditing of medicines
  • To maintain all mandatory training and familiarity with company policies and SOPs
  • Shift-based and flexible working may be required from time to time
  • Attend Clinical supervision to aid reflection of practice
  • Ideally, undertaken CPD-accredited medical cannabis educational program
  • Excellent computer literacy with good working knowledge of office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence at interacting with patients remotely
