Job Title: Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our landscape contracting business, you will play a central role in the success of our organisation and the delivery of high-quality landscaping schemes.

The Job:

You will be responsible for managing a team of Contracts Supervisors and Site Foremen, overseeing the delivery of large-scale landscaping projects, and ensuring compliance with health and safety, environmental, and quality standards. Your workload will be split between office-based work and site visits, where you will use your professional and proactive approach to maintain an in-depth knowledge of all pending and active projects.

  1. Manage and coordinate the delivery of large-scale landscaping projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  2. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  3. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, including ISOH Regulations.
  4. Monitor and manage cost control, procurement, and production of timely valuations, pricing of variations, and compensation events.
  5. Recruit and manage a team of Contracts Supervisors and Site Foremen, ensuring they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver projects to the required standards.
  6. Assist with business development and support the Estimating team as required.
  7. Champion and ensure compliance with site-specific policies and procedures.
  8. Ensure sites are managed in a clean, safe, and tidy manner.
  9. Check timesheets and attendance, and report variations.
  10. Assist in the preparation of tender documentation, cost analyses, early-stage budgets, detailed cost plans, bills of quantities, and procurement plans.
The Person:

We are looking for an experienced Landscaping Contracts Manager with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects. You will have excellent influencing and communication skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage the expectations of site agents and resolve disputes.

  1. Experience of Construction (Design & Management) and a good understanding of health and safety compliance.
  2. Professional and proactive approach, with excellent influencing and communication skills.
  3. Commercial acumen, including accurate cost control, efficient procurement, and production of timely valuations.
  4. Ability to manage the expectations of site agents and resolve disputes.
  5. Good contractual awareness, including experience of managing works in accordance with JCT contracts.
  6. Good computer skills across all Microsoft programmes.
  7. CSCS Card and ideally SMSTS / SSSTS.
  8. Full clean UK driving licence.
