Job Description:

Streamline Search is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our team and manage our fleet of vehicles to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate daily transport operations for a fleet of 12+ vehicles, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruptions.
  • Develop and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and meet delivery deadlines, leveraging industry-leading software and expertise.
  • Ensure vehicles are loaded efficiently, considering weight distribution and legal limits, to prevent damage and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to all transport regulations, including vehicle maintenance schedules and driver hours, to maintain a safe and compliant fleet.
  • Liaise with drivers to provide clear instructions and address any issues that arise during deliveries, fostering a culture of open communication and collaboration.
  • Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure delivery commitments are met and customer satisfaction is maintained, driving business growth and revenue.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in transport planning, ideally within a similar industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficient in using transport planning software and Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to think quickly and resolve issues efficiently, with a strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of £30,000 - £33,000.
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM schedule, with no weekend work required.
