Overview of the Position

The primary objective of the Strategic Business Growth Manager is to identify and nurture opportunities for business expansion within C&C Group plc. This role focuses on acquiring new clients and enhancing business partnerships to drive sales revenue.

Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal position, you will lead efforts to manage and expand our diverse brand portfolio while ensuring success across our regional clientele. Your goal will be to surpass sales objectives and revenue benchmarks in the on-trade sector, while attracting high-quality, sustainable customers through direct market engagement.

You will play a crucial role in optimizing revenue and profit margins by strategically applying our pricing framework and leveraging volume and brand mix opportunities. Your leadership will facilitate effective communication within the team, empowering all members to provide outstanding, comprehensive supply solutions for both new and existing clients.

Client Engagement

Develop strong trading relationships with key decision-makers to effectively manage and grow volumes in current outlets while introducing new business opportunities. Maintain exemplary customer relations to enhance both product volume and variety in each outlet, maximizing profitability at every level. Promote growth by conducting regular joint visits with Area Sales Managers to engage prospective businesses or non-trading clients within the territory. Launch new products and target brands to both new and existing clients through long-term listings and targeted sales initiatives.

New Client Acquisition

Ensure the complete execution of structured pricing in alignment with trading and finance agreements, while assessing margin returns against volume and product performance. Elevate decision-making as necessary on custom deals and pricing outside defined approval limits. Assist all sales team members in identifying opportunities within the existing client base. Provide additional supply opportunities through independent customer referrals and systematic prospecting. Cultivate and oversee trade investment opportunities within the team, with a particular emphasis on information flow between the Customer and Finance Departments.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in an FMCG sales environment and demonstrate proficiency in IT, including all MS Office applications and reporting using Excel.

A valid driving license is required, and candidates should ideally reside within a reasonable distance of the sales territory.
