Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Project Engineer to join our team at Unilever, a leading global Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company. As a Process Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in leading the implementation of engineering projects within our Sourcing Units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget completion of projects.
  • Process Design and Installation: Design, install, and commission process plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Technical Surveys and Feasibility Studies: Conduct technical surveys and feasibility studies to inform project decisions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Scope Document Creation: Develop scope documents to ensure equipment design and installation meet required standards.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with process designers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and effective communication.
  • Contractor Management: Manage contractors, reviewing risk assessments, method statements, and permits to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
  • Civil Aspects of Plant Installation: Manage civil aspects of plant installation, including ground works for new vessel installations.
  • Project Updates and Reporting: Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Hygienic Plant and Process Design: Proven experience in designing and implementing hygienic plant and process systems.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Contractor Management: Ability to manage contractors safely and efficiently.
  • Process Knowledge: In-depth understanding of process P&IDs and plant flow layouts.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Chemical Engineering Background: Chemical engineering background or relevant experience in process projects.
  • Project Management Qualification: Project management qualification or relevant experience.
  • IOSH Managing Safety: IOSH Managing Safety certification.
