Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant. As a key member of our catering function, you will play a vital role in supporting the safe production of beverages and meals for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Support the catering function in food preparation and maintain a clean environment to ensure a high-quality service is delivered.
- Contribute fully to team working, responding positively to colleagues and actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly.
- Advise on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.
- Act with respect and dignity towards residents and their visitors, ensuring their individuality is maintained.
To be successful in this role, you will need to live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. Our ideal candidate will hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
They will also have knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments. A positive and flexible attitude to team working, along with a caring and understanding approach towards residents, is essential.

This role will require a DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is also required.
