About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Shared Lives team as a Shared Lives Carer. As a Shared Lives Carer, you will provide support and care to an adult with a learning disability, autism, mental health issue, or other needs, enabling them to live independently in their community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support an individual with daily living skills, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Develop and maintain a supportive relationship with the individual, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers and healthcare professionals, to ensure the individual receives comprehensive support.
  • Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the individual, adhering to all relevant health and safety guidelines.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A spare room in your home to accommodate the individual.
  • An open heart and a willingness to provide support and care to an adult with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
