About the Role

NHS Scotland is committed to delivering high-quality patient care, and we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Assistant Practitioner to join our team.

As an Assistant Practitioner, you will work in support of a registered nurse, carrying out specific care duties for patients and contributing to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to provide excellent patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out specific care duties for patients, delegated by a registered nurse or other relevant professional.
  • Work in support of a registered nurse, contributing to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of patient care and a commitment to delivering high-quality services.

You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
