Trainee IP Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Trainee IP Assistant to join our dynamic team at G2 Legal Limited in London. As a Trainee IP Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Fee Earners in managing intellectual property matters, including patent and trade mark applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of intellectual property portfolios, including patent and trade mark applications
  • Support Fee Earners in coordinating the filing of applications and maintaining accurate records
  • Produce high-quality correspondence and reports for clients and patent/trade mark offices
  • Maintain diary and reminder systems to ensure deadlines are met
  • Assist in maintaining client and case files within our document management system
  • Provide support in preparing estimates, managing invoices, and coordinating meetings
  • Work collaboratively with the team to support fellow members during busy periods or absences

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 18 months' experience in a similar role within a professional services firm
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and document management systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work under pressure and meet deadlines
