About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join our team at IDEX Consulting Ltd as a Senior Technical Actuary - GMP Equalisation Specialist. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced actuary to join our GMP Equalisation team, working with clients to assist in equalising pensions for their scheme members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Member Data Analysis: Work with and understand member data to provide accurate and reliable results.
  • Calculation Review and Sign-off: Review and sign off on complex calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Client Advice and Communication: Review and sign off on written advice to clients on GMP equalisation topics and communicate results to client teams.
  • Team Collaboration: Regular liaison and communication with the GMP team to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Research and Development: Opportunity to get involved in specialist research and development teams in areas that interest you.
  • Training and Development: Training and managing more junior colleagues as they embark on their actuarial career.
Requirements
  • FIA Qualification: Hold a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) qualification.
  • DB Pensions Experience: Experience in the Defined Benefit (DB) pensions industry, in an actuarial role.
  • Microsoft Excel Skills: Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
