About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Asset Management Engineer to join our team at Egis Group. As a key member of our infrastructure management team, you will be responsible for the management of pavement assets, developing and implementing an integrated asset management strategy to deliver maintenance and renewal activities across the network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Management Strategy: Develop and implement a long-term integrated asset management approach for pavements, ensuring the delivery of maintenance and renewal activities to meet the needs of the network.
  • Pavement Management System: Assist with the management and maintenance of the Highways England Pavement Management System (HAPMS), including network referencing, construction updates, and reporting for inclusion in the Asset Management Forward plan.
  • Inventory Data Management: Collect and manage highway inventory asset data using HD video and upload into the Asset Management systems, Agile assets/CONFIRM databases.
  • Project Identification and Scoping: Identify and scope maintenance, renewal, and improvement projects to overcome pavement issues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the needs of the network.
  • Technical Inspections and Surveys: Assist with the management of technical inspections and machine surveys, including planning of survey routes, assessment and monitoring of programmes, evaluation of completed surveys, and identifying missing or incomplete data.
  • Liaison with Operations Team: Liaise with the Operations team to assist on technical aspects of maintenance, including providing advice for emergency and temporary repairs to pavement assets.
  • Asset Management Forward Plan: Produce the Asset Management Forward Plan for pavements and continuously develop and improve the 5 and 30-year programme to demonstrate the management of condition and meet handback requirements within the DBFO Contract.
  • Inspections and Lifecycle Analysis: Undertake and manage inspections, lifecycle analysis, whole-life assessment, and asset strategy reviews to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the needs of the network.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Engage in the identification and implementation of innovation across the business, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the needs of the network.
  • Health and Safety: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Health and Safety culture across the contract, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Unforeseen Events: Manage and react to unforeseen events, Watchman reports, and HAILS, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the needs of the network.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Skilled in MS Office applications and a general understanding and exposure to real-time asset databases, with a willingness to apply skills to new and evolving asset management systems and tools (Agile).
  • Project Management: Project management and programming skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships within Connect Plus Services, the DBFO Co, Highways England, and other relevant key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of highway-related areas, including but not limited to drainage and geotechnical, with an understanding of the commercial impact resulting from a changed operational regime, resulting from external influences.
