Job Title: Production Operative/Tipper

British Sugar PLC is a leading manufacturer of sugar products, and we are seeking a skilled Production Operative/Tipper to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain packing lines and warehouse equipment to ensure high-quality sugar products are manufactured and despatched on time.
  • Conduct start-up checks, product testing, and end-of-shift checks to ensure compliance with site procedures and quality standards.
  • Accurately record operational data and maintain accurate records of production and despatch plans.
  • Collaborate with shift engineers to resolve basic faults and problems, and escalate issues to supervisors/line managers as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with site and business operational, health, safety, and environmental procedures, as well as food safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a FMCG environment, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and GMP practices.
  • Good communication skills and ability to accurately record information.
  • Manual handling training and awareness of food safety risks.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • IOSH Working Safely certification.
  • BASIC Food Hygiene certification.
