Job Summary:

Architectural Decorators Ltd is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the construction industry. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective financial management of contracts awarded to our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and provide accurate pricing for tender enquiries.
  • Prepare and submit monthly valuations and accounts, ensuring all records of variations are received on time.
  • Verify that rates negotiated for works carried out by sub-contractors include all necessary safety requirements.
  • Provide clients with detailed price estimates for additional works.
  • Assist in the completion of contract performance assessment sheets upon project completion.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in a Quantity Surveyor role in the construction industry.
  • Quantity Surveying qualification.
  • Full driving license.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fully computer literate with experience in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Benefits Package:

  • Competitive salary of £40,000 + vehicle allowance.
  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (1 hour for lunch).
  • 21 days of annual leave + bank holidays and Christmas closure.
  • Birthday day off.

Additional Requirements:

  • A DBS check will be carried out on your behalf at the company's expense.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Six-month probationary period.
  • Aptitude test will be required at the interview stage.
