About the Role

North Oxfordshire Academy is seeking an experienced Learning Coach to join our team. As a Learning Coach, you will work closely with the SENDCo and Assistant Principal to provide learning support to pupils who require additional assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning for pupils with varying needs, including those with moderate, severe, and multiple learning difficulties, and/or behavioral, social, communication, sensory, or physical disabilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Provide one-on-one support to pupils, focusing on phonics and writing skills.
  • Work with the SENDCo to monitor pupil progress and adjust support strategies as needed.

Requirements

  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Experience working with children with varying needs and a positive attitude.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Experience working in an educational setting.
  • GCSE Grade 4 or above (A – C), Level 2 or above in English and Maths or the equivalent.
