The Lead Structural Engineer will serve as a key representative of their discipline, collaborating as a vital member of a diverse design team throughout all phases of the project lifecycle and providing crucial support during the implementation stage.
Your Responsibilities:
Engagement: Establish connections with the informed client and Structural Engineering Authority.
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of efforts.
Design & Documentation: Develop comprehensive designs, calculations, schematics, evaluations, and validations.
Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee that all work adheres to relevant Euro Codes (e.g., Eurocode 3) and Construction Design Management Regulations.
Structural Engineering: Create designs for concrete bases for machinery and tanks.
Design support structures for both new and existing concrete frameworks.
Evaluation & Qualification: Assess existing embedded elements for mechanical support adequacy.
Interface Management: Oversee civil design interactions and load considerations among subcontractors.
Structural Assessments: Assist in and interpret structural evaluations.

Qualifications:
Familiarity with Euro Codes and CDM Regulations.
Proven experience in concrete and steel design.
Expertise in structural assessments.
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Experience with Eurocodes 1-3.
Proficient in surveying techniques (e.g., rebar scanning).
Understanding of CDM roles and responsibilities.
Experience with aging infrastructure.
Prior experience in the nuclear sector.
Familiarity with BIM Level of Development deliverables.
Additional Information:
Only British Nationals are eligible due to the nature of the projects.
