Our client, a leading international engineering consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Senior CS&A Engineer to join their Defence industry team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior CS&A Engineer, you will play a vital role in influencing the design and maintenance of key Defence facilities, setting new benchmarks for safety and compliance. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Leading and justifying design changes in high-risk environments, ensuring safety and reliability.
• Creating and managing documentation supporting Nuclear Infrastructure Design.
• Justifying and leading design changes and concessions.
• Communicating design justifications effectively to safety committees.
• Developing and maintaining schedules for Examination, Inspection, Maintenance, and Testing.
• Providing expert technical advice to stakeholders.
• Conducting reviews to ensure compliance and integrity.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A HNC in Civil Engineering.
• Basic health and safety training.
• Chartered Engineer status.
• Training in nuclear safety case development.
• A good track record in Civil Engineering, ideally within the UK nuclear industry.
• Proficiency in designing and assessing industrial and maritime structures.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
• Proficiency in relevant design software and IT tools.
