Job Summary:
Marshall Group is seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to join our team. As an Assembly Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of production staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of production staff: Provide guidance, support, and coaching to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their jobs effectively.
- Ensure quality and safety: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that products meet the required standards. Identify and report any safety hazards or incidents and take corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
- Manage production schedules: Plan and coordinate production activities to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality products.
- Monitor and control costs: Identify areas for cost reduction and implement measures to minimize waste and optimize production processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with other departments, such as planning, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure that production processes are aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and implement process improvements: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a focus on assembly and quality control.
- Education: City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent in Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting, or a Manufacturing and Assembly Qualification.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other manufacturing software.
