We are seeking an experienced Autism Support Assistant to join our team at a fantastic Sunderland primary school. The ideal candidate will have a passion for assisting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and be able to work effectively as part of a team within the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 support to children with ASD in a primary school setting.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Assist with lesson planning and delivery to ensure that all students have access to the curriculum.
- Support students with challenging behaviors and develop strategies to promote positive behavior.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure that students receive consistent support.
- Experience working with children with ASD in a primary school setting.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with teachers, parents, and carers.
- Knowledge of strategies to support students with challenging behaviors.
