Service Care Solutions is seeking a Facilities Management Operative to support a local authority in delivering essential services for Children's Centres across the region.
Role Overview:
As a key member of the team, you will oversee the facilities management for the Children's Centres, ensuring compliance with the Council's operational guidelines.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining site security, managing the opening and closing of facilities, and ensuring that all areas within and around the buildings are kept in optimal condition—safe, secure, and clean at all times. Additionally, you will ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and that necessary resources are readily available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct general repairs
- Perform manual handling tasks
- Maintain the overall upkeep of the premises
- Report maintenance concerns to the appropriate department
- Carry out fire safety and general health and safety inspections of the facilities
An essential car user allowance is provided, as travel across various centres is required.
You will work on a rota basis, necessitating a flexible approach to your schedule. The rota operates between 7am and 6:30pm, with some shifts extending until 9pm and occasional Saturday work.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a flexible attitude towards meeting the service's needs and will be committed to ensuring that the facilities provide a safe and healthy environment for all users.
You should be organized and dedicated to delivering the highest quality facilities for children and families.
Collaboration is key; you will work as part of a team, providing cover at other centres as needed and assisting staff and service users in a manner that reflects the values of the Council.
A valid Full UK Driving License and access to your own vehicle are essential.
