A prominent construction firm is seeking a knowledgeable Lead Construction Site Manager with a background in site engineering to join their team. This role will involve collaborating closely with the Project Manager to ensure all site operations are executed efficiently and effectively.
This project encompasses the construction of a new educational facility, including the renovation of existing parking areas and related landscaping work. The ideal candidate will possess robust technical expertise and a proven track record in site engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the construction site alongside the Project Manager, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely, on schedule, and within financial constraints.
- Supervise all personnel on-site, including subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams.
- Track project advancement and deliver regular updates to senior management.
- Guarantee that the project meets the highest standards and complies with all regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify and address on-site challenges before they escalate.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
- Mentor and support junior staff members.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer within a main contracting environment (essential).
- Degree in a construction-related discipline.
- Valid CSCS card and First Aid certification.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks concurrently.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations and a disciplined approach to Health & Safety implementation.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to cultivate positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
- Proficient in IT, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.
