Our client, a prominent organization, is in search of a skilled and proactive Senior Buyer to enhance their procurement team.

In the role of Senior Buyer, you will be instrumental in guiding the Director and senior colleagues towards well-informed strategic and operational choices by delivering precise information and sound commercial insights.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Anticipate demand levels for products and services.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify optimal products and suppliers based on value, delivery timelines, and quality.
  • Continuously collect, analyze, interpret, and act on market intelligence.
  • Support the management of daily procurement activities and ensure key performance indicators are met.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts, oversee service quality, and ensure adherence to legal standards.
  • Foster strong supplier relationships that align with strategic objectives.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that support organizational goals.
  • Accountable for effective supplier performance management and negotiation of supply agreements.
  • Analyze data to generate reports on expenditures and savings.
  • Identify and evaluate procurement risks, formulating strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure the supply chain aligns with ethical and carbon reduction initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends.
  • Motivate and manage the performance of direct reports.
  • Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with direct reports.


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of inventory and supply chain management.
  • Level 6 CIPS qualified or actively pursuing it.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Procurement Manager.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
