Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Newham Hospital. As a key member of our inpatient team, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills, working across a range of ward settings and departments.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality occupational therapy interventions to patients, including advanced assessment and treatment, individual and group education, and provision of assistive devices and equipment.
  • Work within the Band 6 rotational Occupational Therapy scheme, rotating across the Newham Hospital site and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop and implement complex disability management and advocacy services, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Fulfils KSF outline for Occupational Therapist (Band 5)
  • DBS clearance
  • Evidence of CPD

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Member of the British Association of Occupational Therapy
  • Experience gained across core rotations
  • Supervision/Appraisal skills and Practice Educators training
