We are actively looking for a Fire Installation Supervisor for a hands-on role in the Leeds region. The organization is a regional Mechanical & Electrical contractor with an in-house fire and security division. The role will involve travel across the UK.

All applicants must possess prior experience in installation tasks or small-scale projects. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently and have substantial knowledge of fire alarm systems and industry standards, as well as familiarity with emergency lighting solutions.

Working Hours

Standard working hours are 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing planned installations of fire systems to established standards
  • Conducting system commissioning and facilitating handovers to clients
  • Performing fault diagnosis on systems
  • Completing necessary documentation to the required standards
  • Programming systems and understanding cause and effect relationships
  • Meeting predefined installation target times
  • Maintaining awareness of Health & Safety regulations
  • Presenting a professional image
  • Collaborating closely with project managers
  • Cooperating with other M&E Supervisors within the organization

Candidate Requirements

  • Knowledge of BS5839:1, BS5266:1, and BS7671 standards
  • Experience with BAFE SP203-1
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills with colleagues and engineers
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities
  • Capacity to perform under pressure
