About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Specialist to join our team at Poundland. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and support on employee relations matters.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment, ideally within a retail setting. You will be responsible for managing a high volume of employee relations cases, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with employment law.

As an HR Advisor, you will work closely with our management team to resolve employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and producing reports, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.

We are looking for a highly organized and effective communicator who can build strong relationships with our stakeholders. If you have a strong understanding of employment law and a passion for HR, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a high volume of employee relations cases, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures
  • Work closely with our management team to resolve employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management
  • Maintain accurate records and produce reports, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
  • Provide expert advice and support on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment law
Requirements
  • Proven experience of working in an Employee Relations role, ideally within a fast-paced environment such as retail
  • Sound knowledge of employment law and a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases under pressure
