About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at Swift Resources Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our clients and their guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up the kitchen prior to the start of shift, ensuring all necessary equipment and ingredients are available.
  • Prepare a particular kitchen station by bringing all food containers, deliveries, and ingredients to the designated area.
  • Cook a specific portion of each plated meal to the highest standard, ensuring presentation and quality are exceptional.
  • Assist with marinating, cutting, and precooking foods as required, maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Clean the kitchen before the end of shift, ensuring all equipment and surfaces are sanitized and tidy.
  • Clean and sanitize your area with warm water and soap, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Wrap unused items and store them in proper areas at the end of a shift, minimizing waste and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Plate food creatively and maximize customer enjoyment, presenting dishes in an appealing and visually appealing manner.
  • Produce food of an impeccable standard in line with Country House Weddings and customer expectations, maintaining our reputation as Britain's Premier Wedding Venue.
  • In the absence of the Head Chef, ensure that the same high standard of catering is achieved, maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Maintain food standards and quality procedures set out in the food manual, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensure that all purchases are made in line with Country House Weddings procedures and make regular reference to the Bridesbook literature to ensure familiarity with menus and company policy regarding catering.
  • Ensure that recipes of all menus are available and that all staff are adhering to these, maintaining consistency and quality across all dishes.
  • Liaise with all in-house departments to ensure good communication between departments, maintaining a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Contribute to the preparation of new menus, working closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to develop innovative and exciting dishes.
  • Work flexible hours, including breakfast and buffet services, to meet the needs of our clients and their guests.
  • Maintain health and hygiene standards, ensuring all necessary documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Hold up-to-date first aid training or be willing to take the necessary training, ensuring the safety and well-being of yourself and others in the kitchen.
