About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled HGV mechanic to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Transport Specialist. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our fleet of 92 vehicles, which are designed to meet the requirements of a Ministry of Defence contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the 'Admin' Fleet of HET vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Participate in military training and exercises as a Sponsored Reservist.
  • Deploy on operations in military uniform, with a 50% salary uplift.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet the changing needs of the role.

Requirements:

  • Hold an appropriate BTEC, City & Guilds, or NVQ Level 3 qualification in HGV mechanics.
  • Desirable: C+E (HGV 1) licence, although training can be provided.
  • Not exceed 6 points on your driving licence.
  • Meet the Army's medical and physical fitness requirements.
  • Be willing to work away from home when required.
  • Previous military experience is desirable, with serving regulars or reservists able to transfer directly.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and commit to delivering an effective service to our clients.
