About the Role:
MDE Consultants Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for conducting planned and reactive maintenance on injection moulding machines and other processing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure machinery is operating at peak efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with the production team to optimize equipment performance and address any technical issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and provide technical support to enhance production processes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician with a strong emphasis on electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with injection moulding machinery or similar plastics processing equipment.
- Electrical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns when necessary.
