About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team at Hastings Direct. As a key member of our data platform team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our Snowflake data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Snowflake data pipelines to support streaming and batch workflows.
  • Develop and manage Snowflake databases to ensure data security, integrity, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and implement data solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Snowflake data models to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
  • Provide expert-level support for Snowflake database administration, including user management, permissions, and security.
Requirements
  • Strong experience with Snowflake engineering, including SQL scripting, task orchestration, and integration management.
  • Strong experience with Snowflake administration, including RBAC, warehouse provision, cost management, time-travel, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, utilizing methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban/BDD/TDD.
  • Enthusiasm for maintaining and providing a best-in-class data platform to the business.
  • Snowflake certifications and Azure data certifications.
