Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Nursing professional to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the perioperative setting, applying evidence-based nursing procedures and practices to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct timely patient assessments, develop and update care plans based on individual patient needs
  • Provide direct care, evaluate outcomes, and incorporate principles of family-centered care
  • Monitor and document patients' condition, effectiveness of care, and interventions
  • Assess educational needs of patients and significant others, considering cultural needs and other special concerns
  • Provide teaching and educational material to patients and significant others as appropriate
  • Administer prescribed medications following approved policies and protocols, utilizing barcode scanning
  • Carry out prescribed treatments under approved policies, protocols, and educational material procedures
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification is required
  • A minimum three (3) year curriculum in Nursing from an accredited program is required
  • Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate experience in a general surgery/operating room setting is required
  • Valid and current national license is required
  • BLS is required from AHA or an equivalent organization, or must be obtained within 3 months of employment
  • ACLS, PALS relevant to the area of specialty is required, from AHA or an equivalent organization; or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Experience with electronic medical records is strongly preferred
  • The ability to speak and write in Arabic is preferred but not mandatory
