Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education and Personal Growth Specialist to join our team at Solihull College & University Centre. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-to-one coaching and group sessions to students, focusing on Personal Progress and Development (PPD).
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with students, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Set and review targets to improve student attendance, progress, and behavior, working closely with students to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies for student support and success.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting a culture of respect and empathy among students and staff.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in coaching or personal tutoring, with a strong track record of supporting students to achieve their goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date with best practices in education and coaching.

Working Arrangements:

This role is based at our Blossomfield Campus, with required working days on Tuesday and Wednesday. You will be expected to attend the College's premises for the next stage of the process, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
