About the Job

We are currently recruiting for a talented Photographer to join our Creative Team. You'll be responsible for capturing predominantly model imagery, alongside still life and creative imagery for the Next website and printed assets. Working closely in a team you will ensure delivery of creative photography that inspires customers. You will be working across Lipsy Groups brands - Lipsy, Love & Roses, Friends Like These and Lipsy Girl.

Your Mission:

  1. Lead the photography for ecommerce imagery and opportunities for creating ad hoc marketing assets
  2. Photograph all brand imagery in line with brand requirements, using multiple lighting setups for various brands, divisions and categories - working across womenswear and kidswear
  3. Brief all photographic freelancers
  4. Follow studio shoot schedule, ensuring deadlines are met and images are formatted and delivered as required
  5. Create shoot guidelines, be involved in their continuous improvement in line with agreed business standards
  6. Assist retouchers in maintaining colour consistency and standards within the studio
  7. Responsible for effective usage of all photographic and IT equipment, props and supplies on set
  8. Highlight any photography issues or development areas to the management team
  9. Problem solve any technical issues that may develop on set
  10. Work with the Art Director and key stakeholders in developing new creative concepts to ensure imagery stays ahead of competitors. Creating new exciting lighting setups and executing these for seasons change and elevated set days.
  11. Ensure shoot lighting guides are up to date for each set
  12. Where appropriate, attend pre-shoot meetings to collate relevant information and agree actions that need to be dealt with by the shoot team

Your Talent:

  1. Previous experience working in-house for a commercial fashion brand
  2. A strong model and still life photography portfolio that demonstrates expertise in applied techniques and a working knowledge of digital studio photography, lighting, composition, colour quality and aesthetics
  3. Previous experience interpreting client's creative briefs and following brand guidelines
  4. Confident in continuously coming up with and executing new exciting lighting setups
  5. Proven track record of working to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
  6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work within a creative team influencing and motivating others
  7. Strong decision making & problem solving skills
  8. Proven experience with Digital SLRs, ideally Canon and a thorough technical understanding of lighting equipment, mainly Profoto
  9. Proficient in Capture One, Photoshop and other Adobe Software
  10. Strong understanding of image colour correction and retouching
  11. Positive attitude and responsive to change
  12. Critically appraise own work and take on board feedback from others in order to achieve high quality imagery in line with brand guidelines
  13. Mac & PC literate to include good MS Office skills (i.e. Word and Excel)
  14. Collaborative mindset, working with others to create elevated imagery
  15. Video experience a bonus
