About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Legal Director - Commercial to join our team at Charlotte Tilbury Beauty. As a key member of our Legal Department, you will provide strategic, pragmatic legal advice on commercial and regulatory matters to support our global business growth.

Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer, you will lead and manage a team of high-performing lawyers responsible for advising on a wide range of commercial contract matters, including retail and distribution agreements, leases, manufacturing and supply agreements, and consumer law.

With a strong background in commercial law and experience working in an in-house legal environment, preferably within the beauty, fashion, retail, or FMCG industry, you will be able to problem-solve at speed and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple geographical locations and legal systems.

As a self-starter with excellent communication skills, you will build successful relationships with colleagues and challenge and influence across all levels within the business.

This is a 9-12 month maternity cover position, ideally with a mid-January 2025 start.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic, pragmatic legal advice on commercial and regulatory matters to support global business growth
  • Lead and manage a team of high-performing lawyers responsible for advising on commercial contract matters
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple geographical locations and legal systems

Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years' post-qualification experience in commercial law
  • Strong background in commercial law and experience working in an in-house legal environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build successful relationships with colleagues
  • Ability to problem-solve at speed and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple geographical locations and legal systems
