Maintenance Engineer

Our client, a leading food manufacturer, is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is a pivotal role, where you will ensure that production lines and equipment are maintained, optimised, and continuously improved to support safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct timely preventive maintenance and servicing of equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Follow established procedures for managing tools, parts, and materials in the store.
  • Promptly respond to breakdowns, diagnosing and resolving faults to restore equipment functionality.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of machinery and equipment on-site.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Team Leader and Manager to complete tasks and meet operational goals.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment, evaluating spare part requirements and planning for future maintenance needs.
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out in line with health and safety guidelines, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
Requirements:
  • Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias.
  • Experienced within the food / fmcg sector.
  • Ability to fault-find on PLCs.

Shift Pattern: 4on / 4off. Shift 1 - 6am - 6pm Shift 2 - 6am - 6pm Shift 3 - 6pm - 6am Shift 4 - 6pm - 6am
