Estimator Job Description

Blue Arrow is proud to be working in partnership with a leading client in the Print and Packaging Industry, who are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis due to expansion.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating and pricing customer inquiries, working closely with the Commercial Manager and Sales teams to ensure maximum profitability and efficient delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer inquiries using software systems, considering factors such as profiles, quantities, sheet laydown, material suitability, print requirements, and finishing requirements.
  • Seek value optimisation to ensure maximum profitability of every inquiry.
  • Set margins in line with business goals and liaise with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present quotation letters to customers, ensuring all relevant information is documented.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as an Estimator or Sales Administrator.
  • Experience within the print industry is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good numerical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness and excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Team player with strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
Location

The role is based in Nottingham, with easy access to the surrounding area and a requirement for a reliable vehicle.
