Full job description

Job Overview
To prepare and issue estimates to secure contracts with the construction industry for clients.

The successful candidate should have experience of estimating in the construction or manufacturing industry.

Duties
- Engage with our clients to clarify tender queries

· liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for prices and delivery periods and with our

management team for specific details, labour rates and factory ancillary products

· Work to deadlines in preparing estimates from performance specifications, proposals, drawings, bills of quantities and budgets

Skills
- Good attention to detail and accuracy

· Computer literate with strong I.T skills

· Numerically strong

· Strong communication skills

· Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets

Experience

* Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred.

* Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices is essential.

* Proficiency in estimation software and tools is advantageous.

* Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

* Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field would be beneficial but not mandatory.
