We are currently seeking a Highway Pavement Specialist to join our Asset Management team at various key locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance an asset management strategy to ensure effective maintenance and renewal of pavement assets while aligning with management objectives.
- Contribute to the creation and upkeep of network plans utilizing advanced asset management systems.
- Provide a long-term integrated approach to asset management for pavements, supporting the development of a cohesive Asset Management System.
- Assist in managing the Pavement Management System, including data referencing, updates, and reporting for future planning.
- Collect and oversee highway inventory data using advanced technologies and integrate it into asset management databases.
- Identify and define maintenance and improvement projects to address pavement challenges.
- Support the management of technical inspections and surveys, ensuring thorough planning and evaluation of survey outcomes.
- Contribute to the production of asset management plans for road signage, ensuring compliance with management standards.
- Respond to unforeseen events and reports, maintaining availability for emergency call-outs as required.
- Embrace innovation and change, identifying funding opportunities that align with management principles.
- Collaborate with commercial and financial teams to provide technical insights on the impact of additional works on pavement assets.
- Promote safety standards in line with the organization's commitment to a safe working environment.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree, or equivalent experience;
• Progressing towards or holding membership in a recognized Professional Institute.
• Knowledge of pavement design standards and materials.
• Proven experience in pavement design, construction, and inspection.
• Understanding of pavement operations and maintenance practices.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with real-time asset databases and willingness to adapt to new management tools.
