About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to lead our Ultimate Survival Camps, delivering high-quality outdoor activities and workshops to groups of children aged 7-14.

As an Outdoor Activity Instructor, you will be responsible for guiding groups of children through week-long, timetabled courses, focusing on participation, development, and enjoyment. You will also have a pastoral role, ensuring the welfare and best interests of the children in your care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver engaging outdoor activities, such as bushcraft, archery, and mountaineering, to children aged 7-14.
  • Encourage participation and teamwork among children, promoting a fun and supportive environment.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety, and safeguarding procedures, maintaining a safe and secure environment for children.
  • Participate in pre-camp training and CPD opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the setup and pack-down of the Ultimate Survival Camp, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Requirements
  • Enthusiastic and energetic individual with a passion for working with children and delivering outdoor activities.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with experience in outdoor education and working with children.
  • Excellent communication skills and verbal reasoning, with the ability to lead a group of children and take responsibility.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
